7 Things Inflatable Hot Tubs And Infrared Saunas Have In Common

With everyone's daily live being so full and fast pace moving, it's important we all take a little time to slow down, relax and take some time for our physical and mental health.

With the growing popularity of home spa base amenities, such as inflatable hot tubs and infrared saunas, it's clear evidence that people are taking note of the need to relax and buying the necessary facilities to help them.

So, what are the commonalities between inflatable hot tubs and infrared saunas benefits? Let's take a look at 7 things they both have in common.

Before we go through the differences, let's take a look at the definition of both an infrared sauna and an inflatable hot tub - just to clarify both.

What is an Infrared Sauna?

An infrared sauna is an enclosed room that uses heat and light to help you relax and detoxify the body. Some people refer to infrared saunas like these as far-infrared-saunas. This means the location of the infrared waves on the light spectrum are “far”.

In these saunas, the dry heat in the air is what warms your body and makes you sweat.

Sizes can vary from 1 person to 6 and more person units.

What is an Inflatable Hot Tub?

An inflatable hot tub or spa is an inflatable pool filled with water that is heated. Then jetting is used to move and circulate water and air (which produces the bubbles).

This is used primarily for hydrotherapeutic relaxation. Inflatable spas vary in size and seating capacity from 1 person to up to 8 and more persons, and vary in shape, colour, and other aspects.

1. Health benefits

Both infrared saunas and inflatable hot tubs share common health benefits.

For example, one common health benefit is increased blood circulation. This will help with soothing muscle/joint aches and pains.

One other benefit I have found is that sitting in either for an amount of time really tires me out meaning I find it easier to go to sleep after either of these.

2. The practicality of using at home

Another shared benefit the both have is the practicality of them to use at home.

They are both much easier to maintain and you can save more electricity to use them. Let's not forget that they are also much cheaper in general than their bigger counterparts.

3. Great place to relax

Let's also not forget the most common thought shared benefit. They are both fantastic to relax in.

When you've had a busy, heavy day, there is no better place to relax - either an inflatable hot tub or infrared sauna.

They were literally made to help you relax. We have the massage jets in an inflatable hot tub and chromotherapy lighting and oxygen ioniser in a sauna. Both are purely created to help you relax.

A lot of infrared sauna models even include audio systems that enable you to listen to your favourite music - something else to help you chill out.

Why not add some aromatherapy oils that can bring the whole hot tub experience to a whole new level.

4. Raised heart rate which simulates mild exercise

So, I've read in many places that sitting in a hot tub can help you lose weight. It's difficult to believe but here is the reason why.

Both sitting in an inflatable hot tub and an infrared sauna will raise your heart rate which in turn is simulating mild exercise.

Now, this doesn't mean that you will lose lots of weight or gain lots of muscle by simply sitting in either of these. What it does mean though that both give you this added health benefit just by relaxing in them.

5. Great for social interaction

What a perfect thing to be doing with your friends. Whenever you have a small social gathering at your home, you could invite your friends to share either the inflatable hot tub or infrared sauna.

You can sit, enjoying the relaxation while chatting and drinking a nice cold drink altogether. Chat about the day's events, subjects that interesting you or even your favourite TV shows at the time.

The private feeling of home spa contributes to a unique atmosphere that can be shared with your loved ones to create unforgettable memories.

6. Soothes aches and pains

As I mentioned briefly in the first similarity they have health benefits including soothing aches and pains.

Both a hot tub and infrared sauna will help ease aches and pains in sore muscles. Soothing heat penetrates into sore muscles and joints, increasing the flow of nutrients.

They both simply heat those aches and pains away.

7. Relaxation and stress relief

Again, throughout these common items, we've implied the relaxation and stress relief benefit.

Our lives are typically full of stress and if we don't have a way to relax then they can cause other problems.

Fortunately, both a hot tub and infrared sauna can help relieve those stress and help you relax.

Many other benefits

These are just 7 benefits I wanted to share. Each of these has many other benefits and some which are just for that particular item.

Ideally, if you can have both then you will get some fantastic benefits from them. Personally, I find a nice hot soak more fun than a sauna - but there is no doubting the health benefits. However, owning an infrared sauna you do not have to find an answer to the question "is there an infrared sauna near me?" as you have it at your house.
